To be in a state of flow is to be so fully immersed in what you’re doing that time ceases to exist, your mind functions at its peak and a sense of pure happiness permeates every cell in your body. To be in flow is to be in a pure state of happiness.
We are here to show you how to move from friction to flow through Meditation, Movement & Intentional Living.
Founded by Emma Maidment and Tyson Venables, Flow States Studios exists to make wellbeing accessible to everyone. We’ve poured our years of experience in yoga, fitness, meditation and wellness into creating truly immersive and unique online and in person experiences. Helping you to let go and find your flow. Emma is a renowned, international yoga and meditation teacher known for her empowering and uplifting manner of educating, writing, and speaking. She aims to share powerful tools and techniques to help individuals’ reach their highest potential.
Emma writes for the media and is featured regularly in magazines and wellbeing publications, speaks at events and facilitates corporate workshops sharing all things yoga, meditation and wellness.
She is a passionate community leader, creator, and intuitive facilitator. After going through her own health challenges and underlying hormonal imbalance (PCO) and becoming a Mumma herself Emma is passionate about helping women discover their inner strength and connect to the innate wisdom of the feminine. She truly believes that everyone has the capacity to heal and experience life to its fullest potential.
She is the co-founder of Flow States Collective and the host of The Flow Lane Podcast.

Tyson Venables is a health and fitness professional. Having worked in wellness for over 12 years Tyson has a wealth of knowledge about the human body and how to help each individual reach their highest potential.
As a qualified Personal Trainer, Cross Fit Coach and yoga and meditation teacher Tyson’s approach to movement is holistic and takes into consideration each individuals needs. He works closely with his students to determine the best programs necessary to help them reach their goals and create healthy sustainable lifestyle habits.
Tyson has a deep passion for mental health, particularly Men’s mental health. This is how The Mindful Man Project podcast was created. His mission is to show that through fitness, yoga and meditation men can find ways to navigate the stress’ of life so that they do not have to suffer through depression or substance abuse.
When he’s not working out, practicing yoga or meditating you’ll find him chasing the sunshine and waves down the coast or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
